One of two chances to join Wandering Souls at THE GETAWAY at one of two Happy Hour events to help raise funds for our upcoming project! In addition to any donations made during the Happy Hour The Getaway will donate 10% of all proceeds.

What is Wandering Souls? We are a one of a kind 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization in DC which tours professional productions for free to those who have little or no access to the arts. The majority of our audiences are those in DC's homeless shelters, retirement homes, at-risk afterschool programs, schools and hospitals. In addition, with each production we also include a handful of free and open to everyone performances around the city. Over the past 2 years we have toured to 20 unique locations and performaned for almost 1000 individuals. About our current project: Reflections: Plays From Saint Elizabeths Hospital
After we toured our production of Twelfth Night to Saint Elizabeths Hospital last fall, a company member proposed that we form a stronger relationship with them and collaborate on a larger project. During June & July five individuals in care at Saint Elizabeths have been taking a playwriting group. The result will be ten-minute plays on the themes of recovery, overcoming adversity, and hope. We will then bring together a fabulous team to bring the project to life and throughout the month of October we will tour around the DC area to other communities.
